In the last week before the consultation on kill licences closes Peter Lyons airs his thoughts on the LLAIA approach to it.
The LLAIA chairman was offered a chance to respond to Peters writing but is either indesposed or ignored the offer.
It should also be noted that both Colin McCrory and Euan McGrandle offered to help the committee with their submission months ago - they both felt that it was too important an issue and that past differences should be put aside in the interest of our Association. Our offer was ignored by the chairman to whom it was made directly. Surely the more people working on this important matter the better no matter what their personal views.
Both Euan and I have decided that we no longer wish to offer help where it obviously isn't wanted - we have both made repeated offers of help only to be ignored on most occasions.
We felt that our experience as long serving committee members and in Euan's case as Chairman of SANAs migratory fish committee could help the Association - obviously not!!
